I've been a major slacker in the blog dept so I thought I'd post something. Been working on hitting the weight room and doing long base mile rides on the weekends. The past few weekends have really sucked because it's been really cold and super windy. Luckily this past week, we had a light week as far as workout hours. Our THursday ride has been canceled the past 3 weeks due to rain, ice, snow and overall cold. This past Thursday our regular crew traded their mountain bike gear for some indoor rock climbing gear. We went to an undisclosed location to hone our skills. When I lived in Maryland, we had access to an indoor climbing gym at The City of Rockville, Department of Recreation and Parks. My hubby & I climbed quite a bit up there. It's been about 10 years so I was a little out of practice. A quick refresher on belay techniques and top roping and we were good to go. I did more belaying than climbing but I still got a good workout...that is..until the stomach gremlins decided to rear their ugly heads. That cut the workout short. That's ok..hopefully we'll get to do it again. It's a great way to cross train.
